Psychanalyse et psychothérapie psychanalytique : continuum ou rupture ?

Résumé

Le texte propose de voir la psychanalyse cure-type et la psychothérapie psychanalytique sur un continuum, en fonction de la notion du « travail de transfert ». Ces dispositifs proposent des conditions pour que se produise une « exigence de travail » du transfert chez l’analysant et chez l’analyste, pour utiliser l’interprétation « du » transfert et l’interprétation « dans » le transfert. Ces trois formes de travail de transfert sont examinées. Le texte propose que la difficulté du travail de transfert exige du thérapeute non seulement une solide formation, mais aussi l’expérience personnelle du transfert au sein d’une cure-type personnelle. Finalement, le texte propose une rupture radicale entre les thérapies psychanalytiques et les thérapies psychodynamiques (psychoanalytically informed therapies).

Abstract

This paper text seeks to locate psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy on a continuum, in light of the notion of the “work of transference.” These different settings give the conditions for a “transference demand upon the mind” of both the analysand and the analyst, and the conditions for the interpretation “of” the transference and “in” the transference. These three forms of the work of transference are examined. The paper proposes that the demand coming from the transference at work requires from the therapist not only a solid training but also a personal and intimate experience of transference within a personal analysis. Finally, the text puts forward the idea of a radical break between psychoanalytic psychotherapies and “psychoanalytically informed therapies.”
