Nous avons évalué la façon dont des participants raisonnent sur un contenu positif lié à leur historique affectif. Deux groupes (parent; non parent) effectuaient des tâches de déduction et d’induction dont les contenus étaient neutre, émotif-général et émotif-lié à la parentalité. Les participants évaluaient le niveau d’émotivité des contenus. Le groupe parent avait une performance équivalente pour la déduction au groupe non parent sur le contenu émotif-lié à la parentalité, malgré un niveau d’émotivité plus élevé. Les résultats appuient partiellement la conclusion que le raisonnement est influencé différemment selon que les émotions soient liées ou non aux expériences personnelles.

Abstract
We evaluated how participants think about positive content related to their emotional history. Two groups (parent, non-parent) performed deduction and induction tasks whose contents were neutral, emotional-general, and emotional-parenting. Participants assessed the level of emotionality of the content. The parent group had an equivalent performance to the non-parent group regarding the deduction tasks for the emotional-parenting content, this despite a higher level of emotionality. The results partially support the conclusion that reasoning is influenced differently depending on whether or not emotions are related to personal experiences.
