Résumé

Partant de la problématique que la littérature brésilienne traduite en français reste une littérature mineure, je m’intéresse, dans cet article, au statut de texte traduit. À la recherche d’indices de texte traduit que l’on trouve dans le texte et métatexte (non développés ici) ainsi que dans le paratexte, j’analyse ce dernier à travers l’étude du roman Quincas Borba de Machado de Assis après avoir abordé les concepts de littérature brésilienne et de déterritorialisation du texte traduit.

Abstract

Taking as a starting point the issue that Brazilian literature translated into French nonetheless remains minor literature, I examine in this paper the status of the translated text. My search is for indicators/evidence of translated text in the content of the text and metatext (not developed here) as well as the paratext. I first tackle the concepts of Brazilian literature and the deterritorialization of translated text, and then analyze the paratext through an investigation of Machado de Assis’ novel Quincas Barba.
